Participated in a volunteer event and need to submit your hours? The tutorial below and this document offer step-by-step instruction on how to log your hours.

Volunteers and their time are the foundation of the Arizona Trail so make sure to submit your volunteer hours from your Engagement Dashboard. If you do not have an Engagement Dashboard yet, request one here.

Pro tip: Bookmark the link to your Engagement Dashboard so that you can quickly log future hours. If you lose it, you can always request a new one. After requesting a link, any previous links will no longer work.

You can earn rewards for your logged volunteer time! Learn more about our Volunteer Reward Program here.

Outreach/Tabling at Community Events

Tabling at community outreach events is a great way to support ATA’s mission! These spaces offer ample opportunity to share, inform, and invite new people to experience the AZT and support the ATA. Outreach events are also a lot of fun and they provide a valuable way for volunteers to get involved off the trail. Volunteers at these events engage ATA booth visitors by answering questions, sharing resources, and aiming to get folks excited about the AZT! Additional volunteer tasks may include donation collection, implementation of an activity/game, booth set/up breakdown, and/or supply and equipment transport.

**Volunteers who log 10 hours of service at ATA community outreach events will receive a special ‘Ask Me About the AZT’ t-shirt (photo right). This incentive is ONLY available to community outreach volunteers.**

Gateway Community Ambassadors

Local representation within our Gateway Communities (GWC) is critical to maintaining engagement between the AZT and these communities. Connecting with our GWCs, allows us to support local businesses, encourage statewide recreational tourism, and expand the AZT community. If you live in an AZT GWC and are interested in connecting your community to the trail, the GWC opportunity is for you!

GWC ambassadors help keep their associated GWC page up to date and create strategies to deepen engagement between their community and the AZT. Send us an email to find out more about this exciting volunteer opportunity; volunteer@aztrail.org.
