Access And Mileage Information

The following table contains trail access and mileage information for AZT Day participants wishing to traverse the Arizona Trail in the vicinity of Mormon Lake Lodge (MLL).

There are many other sections of the AZT that are ideal for 1 day excursions. For other sections and further detail, please refer to "Arizona Trail: The Official Guide" by Tom Lorang Jones and the ATA. It’s available at outdoor stores and online at our guidebooks page. Also, for more information refer to the ATA website's passage pages or call the ATA at 602-252-4794.

  • In the table below the "Access #" numbers refer to marked points on the AZT Day trail access map. This map is a copy of a portion of the Coconino National Forest map.
  • The "Miles from MLL" is the mileage to Navajo Springs. Navajo Springs is on the Arizona Trail and is approximately 1 mile south of MLL.
  • Access #3 is a difficult horse access point. All other locations are fine for horses.
