“800 MILES TO END POLIO NOW“

This Arizona Rotary Tri-District project will raise awareness of Rotary in Arizona and $250,000 to help eradicate polio.  You can help raise funds by selecting an Arizona Trail section to hike and/or making a contribution, or helping with support tasks.  If you would like to make a contribution now in support of the “800 MILES TO END POLIO NOW” project, please send a check payable to:

Your registration fee of $15 includes one project T-shirt and will help offset Rotary expenses.

The Arizona Trail has been divided into 100 sections.
District 5500:  Section 1a - 17b
District 5510:  Section 18a - 29c
District 5490:  Section 30a - 43
Registering for a section in your District's area will make it easier for your support team and reduce travel time to and from Trail Heads.

OPEN TO Arizona Rotarians, families and friends – The “800 MILES TO END POLIO NOW” adventure is open to hikers, trail runners, bikers and equestrians. Rotary clubs, families and friends are encouraged to participate.

ARIZONA TRAIL PASSAGE INFORMATION – The table below lists all of the passages/sections of the “800 MILES TO END POLIO NOW” event. It lists which sections are open and suitable for the various users. To see information about a particular passage, click on the passage name.

SELECTING YOUR SECTION – More than one group can traverse and select the same section. Please consider selecting a passage that hasn’t been selected.

EASY ONLINE REGISTRATION – To register for this event, you must use the online form BELOW. The form requires that you provide contact information and to choose which part of the Arizona Trail you wish to travel on. You may choose one section or more than one section – you decide. Just fill in your desired section(s) in the “Passage Choice” box.

IT’S YOUR RESPONSIBILITY!!! – We want you to participate in “800 MILES TO END POLIO NOW” but “It is your group’s complete responsibility to plan and carry out its trip on the Arizona Trail. Any activities before, during and after the event day(s) are your group and each participating individual’s responsibility”.
